How To Stop The Awful Itching From The VI Peel

The VI Peel is a powerful combination peel that helps eliminate sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scars, large pores, melasma, dry texture, uneven skintone, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Hyperpigmentation and sunspots before VI Peelvi-peel-girl-afterI recently received a VI Peel, and it was fabulous!  I love my results, and can absolutely see a reduction in brown spots and pore size.  I am fair skinned and get freckles and sun spots so easily! The VI Peel seems like a magic cure for so many skin ailments.  There’s just one little side effect- the itching!  I’ve had many VI Peels, and for the most part everything goes smoothly.  Some patients have uncomfortable itching and tingling on their face following the intense medical grade peel.  For best results, patients need to remember to follow some important steps before and after their peels.

L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Anti Wrinkle + Firming Face/Neck Contour Cream

Before your VI Peel:

  • Stay out of the sun
  • Quit using tanning beds (they’re like skin suicide)
  • Wear SPF when anytime the sun is out
  • Stop using harsh skin products unless directed otherwise

The following people who are not candidates for a VI Peel.

  • Anyone who is pregnant
  • Anyone who is breastfeeding
  • Accutane treatment withing the last 6 months
  • Radiation or Chemotherapy treatments within the last 6 months

Follow your VI Derm Post Peel Kit and use only the skincare products provided to you in the kit!  Many patients will use the products in their VI Derm Post Peel Kit, and continue using their harsh salicylic acid or retinol cleansers and serums after their VI Peel.  This is a big no-no!

After your treatment be sure to:

  • Follow your VI Derm Post Peel Kit
  • Stay out of the sun
  • Stay out of tanning beds
  • Don’t pick or peel at your skin
  • Don’t itch or scratch at your skin
