My Favorite Lip Injection Technique

Creating perfect lips can sometimes take a little time.  For someone’s first time getting lip fillers, one syringe is a pretty normal treatment amount.  Whether Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane, or Restylane Silk are used, I have seen that some of the most natural results have come from injecting only a half syringe at a time. 

Ask
your injector if they can inject half of the syringe to both top and bottom lips during your first visit.  Then, if you want even fuller lips, make a second appointment for about 2-3 weeks after to get the remaining half of the filler injected.  This gives the injector the opportunity to see your lips after any swelling or bruising has subsided from the first set of injections.  Your injector can add the remainder of the filler exactly where it needs to go.  Most injectors can use this technique if they know ahead of time, so they can separate the syringe ahead of time to keep it sterile.

This technique may take a little longer, and even cost a little more, but I think it can make a world of difference in making lip fillers look more natural.  Some clients are more than happy with a half syringe of Juvederm, Volbella, or Restylane, with this technique clients get to see their results after a half syringe.  For best results with lip fillers clients should be instructed to follow proper pre treatment instructions and post treatment instructions.
